“Marco Accolla is a self-motivated individual with a zeal for leadership and proven ability to prioritize and plan…”

A South African-born Italian, Marco Accolla is a well-known serial entrepreneur and community welfare enthusiast with several accolades and successful business ventures to his name. He is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the CPF (Community Police Forum) and the co-founder & treasurer of Community Watch.

Marco Accolla is a self-motivated individual with a zeal for leadership and proven ability to prioritize and plan. As an entrepreneur and long-time manager, he has displayed remarkable problem-solving skills and is incredibly detail oriented. It's no wonder he is sought after by friends, family, and business associates looking for sound and reliable advice. He's good at delegating duties, analyzing problems, and setting strategic business goals. Marco Accolla’s go-getter attitude is evident in his past work building one successful club after another.

A proud Italian, Marco Accolla is born to a vibrant immigrant family with a long history of resilience in the world of business and community development. While Marco has spent most of his time in Durban, both his parents and grandparents are Italian emigrants. His father hails from Catania, Sicily while his mother is from a rustic small town in the outskirts of Naples, Salerno. Interestingly, Marco’s grandparents moved to South Africa during the world war in search of safety and opportunity. The rest, as they say, is history.

Marco Accolla attended Glenmore Senior Primary school in Durban between 1988 and 1992 before transferring to Marist Brothers College for Grades 8 through Grade 12. After graduating from Marist Brothers College in 1997, he was admitted expressly to UNISA, Durban where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (B-Compt) in 2003.

In a span of a decade (1998-2008), Marco Rosario made a foray into the entertainment business, opening a slew of high-end entertainment hotspots, including Club 11 on Point, Groove, Bourbon Street, Rush Hour U18's, Angels U18's, and more.

He joined Ooh La La Boutique in 2008 when it had a portfolio of only 3 stores. The boutique chain specialized in selling ladies shoes, garments, handbags, cosmetics, and accessories. After Marco joined the boutique group, he set up his wholly owned company which focused exclusively on expanding the Ooh La La brand throughout South Africa. And his efforts bore fruits.

Marco’s boutique concept was so robust that it rolled out 14 stores in a matter of 4 years. However, the venture ended in 2014 for various economic reasons in the retail sector, and Marco Rosario disposed of all the 14 stores. Thereafter, Marco focused on expanding his portfolio in the real estate sector where he has a specific focus on acquisition, sales, restoration, and rental properties.
